- Drumming Empowerment for Everyone!
Hallway drum circles with easy instructions and plans for endless fun in Richmond, one on one videos, audio tracks, and more! You’ll have a blast! (and you can do it all without drums or shakers)
Here’s one of the downloadable videos (hint – downloading them means that you won’t need an internet connection anymore):
And here’s a sample track from the 15+ hours of downloadable audio (can easily use these individually with an easy adjustment that I outline:
Have them play along on buckets or clap in their doorway while you play this in the hallway.
This works great with you leading in the hallway and the residents standing in their doorways or as a group and I walk you through everything I do so you can customize games and themes to your situation. I provide you with the plans as well.
Also, keep in mind this is all a do-at-your-own-speed process. There’s plenty of things that you can do and videos to watch that will help you and help them with their first activities. As you get better and more advanced, read more and watch more…
It’s fast and easy, but with over 45 videos, you don’t need to do anything if you don’t want.
It’s very engaging and attentive on its own!
Here is the table of contents for the program. You couldn’t ask for easier, more beneficial isolation activities!
And it’s easy!
I have a system that allows people with varying abilities at any age to be empowered by the scientifically AND anecdotally proven activity of drumming, without having to travel and/or meet with a group to do so – you can use these in complete isolation!
It’s ok if you can’t pump video into every room – blast the audio from the videos and audio through the hallway. Or create your own drumming games!
I’m a trusted source – I’ve been in the Wall Street Journal, BBC Future, have been featured and on the cover of magazines, have been on NPR, and was even the subject of a documentary. I was also the National MS Society activist of the year for 2019!
I am passionate about this and want to make it available to as many people as possible. There is a lot of scientific research showing its impact on cognitive skills, anxiety, focus, the immune system (extremely important right now), confidence, and more.
Most of all, they’ll have a great time doing it – and you can do it with them, if you want!
I want to encourage you to give it a shot. You can use homemade instruments (I shot a video showing you how), use your hands, or use the links I provide to purchase some.
I’ve included over 45 videos and over 15 hours of audio, not including the six 10-minute loops that I include. It’s completely adaptable, too, so it will last!
“Let’s Drum Together” is a fantastic way to provide someone with a fun and meaningful means of expression.
“Thank you, …, for bringing, Jim, the drum … In my 90+ years, I have worked with dozens of groups. In my opinion, Jim is the most skilled group facilitator I’ve had the pleasure to encounter in any group! His positive, congenial attitude tops any list!
Gratefully, …”
The truth is that music and rhythm are a part of our lives and can open doors that had previously been shut. I see breakthroughs nearly every week with my students!
